Hunting and Feeding
Wild cats feed on small prey, primarily birds and rodents.Cats use two hunting strategies, either stalking prey actively, or waiting in until an animal comes close enough to be captured.
Domestic cats select food based on its temperature, smell and texture, strongly disliking chilled foods and responding most strongly to most foods rich in amino acids, which are similar to meat.

Sociability
Cats are a social species, and free-living cats tend to form colonies if there is sufficient food, each group is formed by females cats. Each cat in a colony holds a distinct territory, with sexually active males having the largest territories, which are about ten times larger than those of female cats and may overlap with several females territories.
As part of cat sociability they use a variety of vocalizations for comunication, including meowing, purring, "trilling", hissing, growling, squeaking, chirping, clicking, and grunting.

Disesases of cats
Cats can suffer lots of health problems, including infectious diseases, parasites, injuries and chronic disease.Vaccinations are available for many of these diseases, and domestic cats are regularly given treatments to eliminate parasites such as worms and fleas.
